Happy 1st Sunday of the month, friends!

Fresh start to plan and act towards your dreams 😊

Aja ~

I would like to share Nurse Claire’s encouraging message in our Single’s group chat on Messenger that really uplifted me today:

But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the leader of the synagogue, β€œDo not fear, only believe.” Mark 5:36 (NRSV)

Today’s Gospel speaks of 2 healing miracles performed by Jesus at the synagogue; first was of the woman who has been suffering from hemorrhage for twelve years, and the rising from the dead of the centurion’s 12 year-old daughter. Both miracles speak of God as a divine healer, one that is received only through faith.

It is during our lowest points in life, when we feel like we have nowhere to run, that we choose to go down on our knees and ask for God to work. It is in these situations that we hold onto our faith, no matter how little, because it is all that is left of us to keep on hoping. To surrender to God is not synonymous to giving up, rather, it’s a decision to remain hopeful despite the circumstance.

Today’s Gospel also assures us that God is the God of the impossible, and that all he asks of us is to keep the faith even when it makes no sense. Just when we thought that nothing more could be done, His grace powers through. He says, do not be afraid, keep the faith and see Me work!

*Thank you for sharing this, sis Claire 😊
